Martin Dubravka was pictured taking a nap in his garden on Monday afternoon, days after Newcastle United beat West Ham United 3-2 at St James’ Park.

The 32-year-old’s had to bide his time for opportunities after falling down the pecking order upon his return from injury in December 2020, being an unused substitute for two months before regaining his starting place.
Dubravka has kept his spot between the sticks in each of Newcastle’s seven Premier League games and has enjoyed consecutive wins for the first time since June 2020.
The Slovakian international has had an eventful month after the birth of his child too, so things have been looking up in April. Newcastle have pulled away from the relegation zone too, so their future looks to be in the Premier League for the time being.
Steve Bruce’s men are currently 15th in the table with 35 points, eight clear of 18th-place Fulham after 32 games. The Magpies have lost only one of their last seven Premier League outings and are ending the season strong.
Dubravka has conceded only 10 goals in seven league games, so his return has seen Newcastle significantly tighten up at the back.
In other news, Newcastle’s first season in the Northern League ends in defeat on this day in 1890
