Lewis Miley injury update

The Northern Echo’s Scott Wilson, reporting via Yahoo Sports, says Miley has received medical clearance to resume full training.

The midfielder returned from England Under-21 duty after suffering a training knock. The report says his withdrawal was precautionary and he is expected to be available at Coventry.

That is progress from the initial withdrawal announcement, although his place in Newcastle’s team remains a separate selection decision.

Ewen Jaouen injury update

Jaouen’s earlier international appearances have been followed by a new injury.

Le Parisien reported on 1 October that the goalkeeper injured his right hamstring during France Under-21 training and required examinations to establish its severity.

He withdrew from the remainder of the camp. Our report on Jaouen’s injury covers the setback.

There is no confirmed Newcastle comeback date in the reporting checked for this update.

Joelinton and Nico González return to training

Hayters reported on 29 September that both midfielders had rejoined first-team training.

Joelinton has been recovering from a muscle problem, while González missed the Hull match following concussion.

Their involvement offers encouragement for Coventry, but neither training return guarantees a start.

Anthony Elanga and Tino Livramento latest

Elanga has been recovering from a hamstring injury. NUFC Blog’s report of Keith Downie’s update described progress following a second scan.

However, Elanga and Livramento were both absent from the group observed on 29 September. That is a dated training observation, rather than confirmation of their status today.

Newcastle’s official international roundup confirms Livramento’s England withdrawal through injury. Neither player has a confirmed return date in the sources checked.

Dan Burn and Amar Dedić recovery targets

Burn identified the first match after the international break as his target in his official programme notes, provided his recovery continued as planned.

Dedić’s international manager Sergej Barbarez also anticipated a return after the break. Read Newcastle covered his assessment of the defender’s hamstring problem.

Both remain recovery targets rather than confirmed Coventry selections.

William Osula and Jacob Ramsey latest

Osula and Ramsey were among the absentees in Inside NUFC’s report from the 29 September training session.

Osula has been recovering from a foot problem and Ramsey from a thigh injury. Neither has a confirmed comeback date in the latest reporting checked.
