It is also worth mentioning that the possibility of the club signing Nmecha have been played down. That will add to the intrigue around this entire situation.
Of course, Newcastle United have been linked with some other midfielders who do not have the pedigree of someone like Nmecha. Names like Luka Sucic, Lucas Bergvall and a few others have done the rounds of the rumour mill as well. Will it be one of them? Or will it be someone completely away from the links?
