Long-time Newcastle target Charlie Austin has admitted that he will more than likely stay at QPR beyond the January transfer window.
He was continuously linked with a move to Tyneside in the summer, but that never came to fruition with QPR refusing to budge on their £15m asking price.
Austin has found the back of the net seven times so far this season and looks to be the key to QPR’s promotion ambitions.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Englishman had this to say:
I can’t see myself leaving in January, because I’m concentrating on playing for QPR. I think I owe it to them and my loyalty is with them, to help them and try and get promoted.
This may come as a blow for Newcastle, with Austin reportedly on Steve McClaren’s ‘radar’.
However, the likes of Benik Afobe and Pierre-Michel Lasogga remain strong targets for the club, with Papiss Cisse almost certainly on his way out of the club.

Back in September, Toon boss Steve McClaren addressed the Austin rumours, saying:
He has been on Newcastle’s radar from the second-half of last season and during the summer – and he will stay on the radar, definitely.
Would you like to see Austin at Newcastle?
