Ewen Jaouen at Newcastle United
Newcastle United signed Ewen Jaouen early in the summer transfer window. He currently serves as the primary cover option for the goalkeeper position. While Lukas Hornicek occupies the number one spot, the club views Jaouen as a player with long-term potential. Crucially, the Newcastle United staff hope he develops into their future starting goalkeeper.
Career Before Newcastle United
The young Frenchman arrived at St. James’ Park to bolster the club’s defensive options. He joined alongside other new signings like Bazoumana Toure, Sean Steur, Aladji Bamba, and Lukas Hornicek. Indeed, his arrival marks a significant investment in the club’s youth pipeline.
Career History Overview
Jaouen recently suffered an ankle injury during a training session. This setback occurred on the eve of the match against Bournemouth. Therefore, his availability for the upcoming League Cup fixture against Millwall remains uncertain. If he requires extended time on the sidelines, the coaching staff will need to adjust their rotation plans. You can find further details about his development on Wikipedia.
