Newcastle United tickets: How to buy home, away and season tickets plus memberships

Share

Newcastle United stadium St James’ Park has always been one of English football’s most iconic venues, and with the club’s rapid rise in recent years, demand for tickets continues to increase.

The Magpies have been involved in two Champions League campaigns and have become one of the most-watched Premier League sides under Eddie Howe.

As a result, plans are being explored to increase capacity — whether through an upgrade to St James’ Park or the development of an entirely new “super stadium”.

In the meantime, tickets remain highly sought after and are not always easy to secure. With that being said, here is everything you need to know about buying tickets to watch Newcastle United.

Newcastle United season tickets

Season tickets are the only guaranteed way to attend every Newcastle home match.

For the 2025/26 season, they sold out quickly, leading the club to introduce a waiting list for supporters hoping to secure one.

That list has grown rapidly to over 40,000 fans, highlighting the increasing demand and strengthening the case for stadium expansion plans.

Unfortunately, as is common in modern football, the club has increased season ticket prices for a third consecutive year ahead of the 2026/27 season. There will be a 5% rise in standard season tickets and up to 15% in hospitality packages.

The prices are as follows:

Newcastle United matchday and single match tickets

Matchday tickets are sold individually for each fixture if you do not hold a season ticket. To purchase a ticket, supporters must enter the ballot system. Eligibility requires a club membership, as only a limited number of matches go on general sale.

Success in the ballot is the only way to secure a ticket, with prices varying depending on fixture category and seating location.

Category A matches (typically the “big six” clubs) are usually priced at £39–£75 for adults and £21–£37 for juniors. Category B fixtures are generally £24–£55 for adults and £14–£28 for juniors.

These prices are expected to increase further next season:

Category A matches:

  • Adults: £39–£75
  • Over 65s: £32–£58
  • Young adults (18–21): £39–£75
  • Juniors: £21–£37

Category B matches:

  • Adults: £24–£55
  • Over 65s: £20–£44
  • Young adults: £14–£28
  • Juniors: £14–£28

Hospitality prices:

  • Club St. James: From £464
  • The Entertainers Suite: From £726
  • The Barracks: From £248
  • Wings: From £415
  • The Rooftops: From £871
  • Park Grill: From £358
  • Bobby Robson Suite and other premium areas: £200–£600

How to get a Newcastle United membership

Newcastle United memberships can be purchased via the club’s official website. There are three types available:

  • Mags+: £47
  • Mags: £37
  • Junior Mags: £20

Newcastle United away tickets

To purchase away tickets, you must hold a season ticket at St James’ Park.

Tickets are released in stages, with supporters holding the highest number of loyalty points given first access. Each subsequent stage requires fewer points.

Third-party ticket resale sites

If none of these options are successful, tickets can be purchased through third-party resale platforms.

However, there is always a risk when using unofficial sellers, even though some reputable sites offer guarantees. Prices are often significantly higher than face value.

Sites such as Seetickets and LiveFootballTickets are among the more commonly used options.
