Hefty price tags placed on key Toon duo

After weeks of persistent exit rumours regarding key duo Ayoze Perez and Moussa Sissoko, Newcastle have set their asking prices for the two attackers.

According to a report by the Chronicle, a price tag of £15m has been placed on the head of dazzling Spaniard Ayoze Perez, amid interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs.

Having developed a dynamite striking partnership with close friend Aleksandar Mitrovic, the 22-year-old has attracted serious interest from top European clubs.

He has proved to be one of the best bargain buys of recent history – joining for a mere £2m two years ago from Tenerife CF. The Toon faithful are desperate for arguably our best player to remain at the club, so let’s hope the Magpies don’t become tempted by the big bucks at the disposal of his admirers.

In the same report, it is stated that both Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are keen on acquiring the services of French powerhouse, Moussa Sissoko.

United have done the same to the 26-year-old as they have done to Perez, by slapping another £15m asking price on the midfielder’s services.

Sissoko has been somewhat of an inconsistent performer for the Magpies in recent seasons and considering his continued desire to play in the Champions League, it looks like his time on Tyneside could be soon up – but only if United’s asking price is met by either of the interested clubs.

Undoubtedly, it would prove to be a massive blow for the club if both of these players were to leave.
