Fan favourite Aleksandar Mitrovic feels he “made the right choice” in joining Newcastle in the summer, and the big Serb is also full of praise for Head Coach, Steve McClaren.
His career on Tyneside didn’t get off to a good start after he was sent off against Arsenal back in September, but since returning, the former Anderlecht star has won over the fans with two terrific goals.
His passion and enthusiasm that we often witness on the pitch has also earned him a special place in the hearts of Toon fans.

Speaking in an interview on BT Sport show Fletch and Sav, Mitrovic had some very kind words of admiration for Steve McClaren:
McClaren is a good and positive guy, he knows how to work with young players.
He knows how to work with pressure, he is a really good coach with experience and I think it was the best choice to come here and work with him.
The 6’2 target man also explained how he felt when he netted his first goal for the Magpies last month:
When I score I have too much energy. I could run ten times around the stadium after I’ve scored. It’s too much energy. When we score I am so happy and I want – so much – to win the game.
It’s safe to say that the longer this man mountain stays on Tyneside, the more the fans will love him.
