It seems as if enough is enough for Newcastle and following the latest injury to third-choice ‘keeper Rob Elliot, the club will finally look to the emergency loan market in order to solve the current goalkeeper crisis.
According to the Chronicle, the Toon are seeking permission from the Premier League to delve into the emergency loan system to sign a goalkeeper – after the stand-in Irishman suffered an injury during the Stoke game.
Tim Krul, Karl Darlow and now Rob Elliot are all out injured and a major possibility is that the Magpies could attempt to sign Manchester United’s forgotten man, Victor Valdes.

The former Barcelona stopper’s agent Gines Carvaja has stated that his client is actively seeking a move away from the Red Devils and he hasn’t ruled out the chances of Valdes staying in England.
He said:
The Premier League is attractive, he is adapted there so possibly he is going to stay in the Premier League but I don’t close doors anywhere.
Although always we will depend on Manchester allowing him to go.
Newcastle currently only have on senior goalkeeper available – the 18-year-old Freddie Woodman and this should give them the all clear in terms of signing a goalkeeper on an emergency loan.
