Newcastle are keen on acquiring the services of French striker Anthony Koura in January, reports the Chronicle
Koura, 22, has had a trial at St James Park in the past, but the Magpies decided to cancel their interest in the youngster.
French reports are suggesting that the Toon Army aren’t the only Premier League side who seem to have an interest in Koura. Rivals Sunderland and newly promoted Watford are also believed to be scouting the 22-year-old.

It’s known that Newcastle did have scouts watching Koura during Nimes’ 1-1 draw with Dijon so that they could monitor the promising, young talent.
It’s also believed that there were more United scouts at Nimes’ Ligue 2 win over Creteil, that match involved Koura grabbing a winner to award his team a 2-1 victory.
Koura was last scouted by Newcastle when he was playing for Le Mans back in 2012. The Frenchman can play up front or on the wing and his contract with Nimes is up in the summer.
He has played for French youth teams and is supposedly valued at around £300,000 – courtesy of his current contract situation.
