Spanish wonderkid Sandro Ramirez has attracted attention from a number of clubs, including Premier League duo Newcastle and Tottenham, since propelling himself into Barcelona’s first-team last season, and it seems he may be set to leave the Spanish giants in January.
In order to aid his development and secure more game-time, it was reported that Barcelona were prepared to loan out the young striker, but, according to fresh reports by Spanish news outlet Sport [quoted by The Mag], Newcastle may be able to land their man permanently.
Sport claim Ramirez will be available to potential suitors for just £8million in January, but on one condition – any deal must include a buy back clause. Essentially, if Ramirez hits the heights that are expected of him, Barça will activate the clause and resign him. Much-like the Dani Carvajal situation, who was re-signed by Real Madrid after they activated the £6.5million release clause agreed with Bayer Leverkusen.

There’s no doubt surrounding Newcastle’s interest in Ramirez, having agreed a deal with his agent to sign him on loan during the most recent summer window. The deal fell through as Barcelona felt they were short in the attacking areas but, now their transfer embargo has been lifted, Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal’s arrivals will push Sandro down the pecking order.
While the Magpies reportedly face stiff competition from other clubs, including the aforementioned Tottenham Hotspur, only Newcastle have shown any signs of genuine interest.
