Following the news that Florian Thauvin is on Tyneside, there is more good news for Newcastle fans.
Arguably the worst player at the club, Mike Williamson is expected to leave the club this summer, though it may only be a loan move due to a lack of serious interest, reports The Chronicle.
With his contract set to expire next summer, should Newcastle find a suitor prepared to take Williamson on a season-long loan, he will not return to Tyneside.
The 31-year-old made 31 appearances for the Magpies last campaign and looked out of his depth on every occasion.

He was ridiculed every week by the fans and even John Carver had issues with him – accusing Mike of deliberately getting sent off against Leicester, after a carelessly late challenge on Jamie Vardy. To this day, Carver insists he still believes it was deliberate.
Meanwhile, Remy Cabella, Yoan Gouffran, Mehdi Abeid and Haris Vuckic are on the verge of exits from St James’ Park.
