Malick Thiaw at Newcastle United
Malick Thiaw provides a physical presence in the heart of the Newcastle defence. He regularly partners Sven Botman at centre-back. Moreover, he managed significant playing time last season following his move from AC Milan. This demand for his services arose largely due to injuries affecting other senior defenders. The club recently listed him in their Newcastle United squad updates.
Career Before Newcastle United
Thiaw began his professional journey in Germany before moving to Italy. He eventually joined AC Milan, where he developed his skills in Serie A. Subsequently, he completed a high-profile transfer to the Magpies. This move reunited him with fellow former AC Milan teammate Sandro Tonali.
