Casi Gregson has signed her first professional Newcastle United contract, completing a breakthrough week that also brought her senior debut and a Wales call-up.
The 18-year-old forward joined from Gwalia United in February and has progressed through Newcastle’s Under-21 setup.
She trained with Tanya Oxtoby’s first team during the summer before making her senior bow against Aston Villa in Wednesday’s Subway Players’ Cup tie.
A day earlier, Gregson received her first senior Wales call-up ahead of their World Cup qualifiers against Albania.
Speaking in Newcastle’s official contract announcement, she said: “It feels unreal.”
Gregson described her disbelief at being offered professional terms and the importance of sharing that moment with her family.

Oxtoby praised the forward’s development with the Under-21s and her work during pre-season, explaining that her progress in training had earned Wednesday’s opportunity.
Gregson replaced Jessie Gale in the 64th minute against Villa. Fellow teenager Abbie Richardson also made her Newcastle debut that evening, coming on late in the game.
Richardson had signed her own first professional contract the previous week.
For Gregson, the immediate challenge is to build on those first senior minutes while continuing her development under Oxtoby.
Her Wales selection provides another opportunity to learn in a senior environment. It is a squad call-up rather than a first cap, with an international debut still to come.
The contract gives her another milestone to celebrate after a significant few days for both club and country.
