Sandro Tonali has been implicated in the ongoing ‘escort parties’ scandal in Serie A. A report by well-known media personality Fabrizio Corona, who is famous for outing high-profile extortion scandals, has alleged that the Italian was involved alongside a plethora of other players.
Tonali faced a year-long betting ban upon his arrival in Newcastle, which he has since put well behind him. These allegations throw yet another spanner in the works with an investigation into the ‘party’s’ ongoing.
Tonali has been implicated for his time at AC Milan, with the midfielder allegedly taking part in multiple events led by teammate Theo Hernandez.
Tonali Dragged Into Serie A Scandal
The initial scandal was uncovered a few weeks ago. Up to 50 Serie A players and an F1 driver were caught up after police seized just over £1m in an attempt to stop the activity.
The party’s involved escorts and a prostitution ‘sex ring’. With a company fronting an organisation for selling various sexual services to clients.
Videos have surfaced alongside these most recent claims. They show Theo Hernández and groups of people using the recreational drug laughing gas whilst dancing to music.
Whilst the players’ names have been redacted from legal documents in court, Corona’s independent coverage has implicated several players whom he says were involved. Sandro Tonali is one of those he has claimed to have partaken in the activities.
What Does it Mean for Tonali?
At present, it is not confirmed by any legal authorities whether Tonali or any of the other mentioned players were actually involved.
There is no telling what may be confirmed going forward, especially amidst the ongoing investigation. But, right now, everything that has come out is all merely alleged.
Tonali accepted a fine regarding his betting scandal not too long ago. This removed the need to serve a prison sentence for his wrongdoings.
Newcastle will be hoping the allegations are quickly cleared up head of a big summer with a rebuild expected.
The Italian is linked with a move away from the club and it seems that will materialise if one of the interested parties stumps up the cash Newcastle want for their star man.
