Hendrick’s Newcastle exit has gone badly

Jeff Hendrick was loaned out by Newcastle United in January after struggling for playing time under Eddie Howe, but his temporary move to Queens Park Rangers hasn’t gone to plan.

The 30-year-old hasn’t been putting in good performances for Mark Warburton of late and has found himself dropped from the starting eleven as a result.  Hendrick has made nine Championship appearances for QPR since making the switch, but West London Sport’s coverage paints a picture of gradual decline.

He was given a player rating of 6/10 in the 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough, 6/10 in the 1-0 defeat to Barnsley, 7/10 in the 1-1 draw with Hull City, 7/10 in the 2-1 win over Blackpool and 6/10 in the 1-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers, 5/10 in the 2-1 defeat to Cardiff City, 5/10 in the 2-1 win over Luton Town, 6/10 in the 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest and 6/10 in the 3-1 defeat to Peterborough United.

Hendrick has completed less than 65% of his passes in his last three games and made his last two appearances from the bench after falling out of favour.

In other news, Noel Whelan says Newcastle United have problem signing Darwin Nunez

matchday.
