Federico Fernandez posts on social media after 1-1 draw with Watford

Newcastle United drew 1-1 with Watford on Saturday afternoon and Federico Fernandez was given an above-average rating by Chronicle Live for his performance.

The 32-year-old impressed at centre-back and posted pictures on his Instagram story to mark the occasion, sharing a couple of action snaps at Vicarage Road for his followers.

Newcastle’s draw at Watford sees them move out of the relegation zone. The Magpies are now 17th in the Premier League table with three points from a possible 18. They’re still without a win from their first six games but have lost only one of their previous four.

Next up for Steve Bruce’s men is a trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers. As for Fernandez, the Argentine international has made four Premier League appearances this season.

He was an unused substitute in Newcastle’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester United and 1-1 draw with Leeds United but was reinstated as captain against Watford and played his part in the Toon Army earning a point.

Fabian Schar was on the bench against the Hornets, so Bruce isn’t short on centre-back options going into the Wolves meeting.

In other news, Freddie Woodman posted a video on Instagram when he was recovering from injury
