Allan Saint-Maximin posts pics and vids on IG after 1-1 draw with Leeds United

Newcastle United drew 1-1 with Leeds United on Friday and Allan Saint-Maximin posted pictures and videos of his involvement at St James’ Park on his Instagram story. The 24-year-old scored Newcastle’s only goal of the game, equalising before half-time after Raphinha broke the deadlock in the 13th minute.

Saint-Maximin was outstanding all evening and deserved his goal. He collect the ball from the edge of the penalty area and rode a number of challenges before firing the ball hard and low across the goalkeeper to level the game. He was a star performer on the night and wasn’t shy in showing off his best moments from the stalemate.

Against Leeds, the French wide-man played a full 90 minutes as a makeshift centre-forward, had 43 touches, completed 75% of his 24 passes, created two chances, had five shots with 80% hitting the target, boasting a 100% cross accuracy ratio, won one freekick and had two successful dribbles.

Newcastle don’t have Callum Wilson as he’s out with injury, but Saint-Maximin has impressed in the new role. He played a big part in the Magpies picking up a point against Leeds and will hope to shine against Watford on Saturday.
