Miguel Almiron played a full 90 minutes in Newcastle United’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester United and posted a picture on his Instagram story of his involvement in the match. The 27-year-old posted a photographer’s beautiful snap of him with his back to the camera at Old Trafford.

Against Man Utd, Almiron had 41 touches, completed 87% of his 23 passes, created one chance, had one shot, whipped in two crosses, had one tackle, made one clearance, had three interceptions, was fouled once and had three successful dribbles.

The Paraguayan international has made five appearances in all competitions this season, but he’s yet to score or make an assist. Almiron has played every minute in every Premier League game and needs to start contributing goals as Callum Wilson will be out of action for some time.

Newcastle are 19th in the table with only one point from their first four games and face Leeds United at St James’ Park on Friday evening. The Magpies could haul themselves from the relegation zone with a win, so Almiron and co. need to turn up if picked.
