Andy Carroll’s time at Newcastle United is coming to an end, but he remains in good spirits. The 32-year-old posted a throwback video and picture on his Instagram stories, dancing and singing at a friend’s wedding and then going swimming with his baby Marvel Mae.
Carroll was invited to the wedding of Aaron Cresswell and Jessica Unsworth at Peckforton Castle in June 2019. The video he posted was from Rachel Lea’s Instagram stories, showing the singing and dancing at the reception. Cresswell is celebrating his two-year anniversary with his wife, so a lot of old videos were posted on social media to commemorate the occasion.
Carroll then posted a picture of him swimming with Marvel Mae, holding the toddler aloft in the water. His contract is up at Newcastle in a matter of weeks, so he’ll have the whole summer to think about his future. The former England international amassed less than 400 minutes of Premier League football last season, so he might be considering hanging up his boots entirely.
It’s hard to see Carroll getting signed by another top-flight club in England, but it remains to be seen if he’s willing to drop down a division or play abroad.
