A number of Newcastle United fans have been reacting furiously to an update from Steve Wraith claiming that there is a mood of unrest among some players in the dressing room.
The Magpies have suffered back-to-back 2-0 defeats and Steve Bruce is starting to come under increasing scrutiny from many Newcastle supporters. That comes amid the damning statistic that his team have now had the fewest attempts on goal in the Premier League.
However, despite the growing criticism over Bruce’s style of play and inability to get the best out of the likes of Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron, the Magpies’ hierarchy are reportedly content with their situation and Bruce retains their full support, per The Telegraph.
It has been reported that Almiron is considering his Newcastle future due to a combination of being left out of the team at times by Bruce and his desire to play in a more attack-minded system. That has only fuelled doubts over the overall harmony of the squad with the way things are progressing on the field.
Wraith took to Twitter to suggest that problems are emerging in the dressing room, and he suggested that the Magpies could need to change direction in order to regain some fighting spirit.
More rumours of an unhappy dressing room at #nufc which i mentioned a few weeks back on @NUFCToonTalk you just need to watch the game against Chelsea to see the players aren’t happy. Need to sort this mess out before it’s too late.

Newcastle fans rage at dressing room reports
Many Newcastle fans have been in full agreement with Wraith over the “awful” dressing room situation and suggested that the Magpies are risking the potential of relegation from the Premier League if they do not take firm action in the near future:
We have a half decent set of players at the club with the right direction could push for better times within the club, they will not wait around for ever to see if things will improve they have ambitions even if the club don't

No matter whether people agree with it or not once the manager loses the players he has to go. Imagine playing for Bruce man footballers aren't stupid they will know he hasn't got a clue. This only ends one way. Ashley needs his finger on the trigger before it's too late.

This is not a team that is fighting or together. There is clearly problems in the dressing room and the most important person at the football club is the manager. I have no idea where the takeover is at but we need a top class manager to install some belief into the whole club.

No surprise that there's unrest amongst the players. I don't blame them for questioning their manager at all. The squad aren't receiving any quality preparation or instructions whatsoever. We're going absolutely nowhere under SB. #BruceOut

The body language of most of the players is awful, as soon as we concede you can see the will to fight drain away. This cant continue too much riding on this of all seasons

The echoes of McClaren are loud. Decent players being made ineffectual by clueless coaching team. This is not unsurprising… ask Sunderland, Villa etc etc fans.

Blatantly obvious this just from watching the players body language. Nothing is ever Bruce’s fault. He needs to go before it’s too late https://t.co/XbhXkquIlN
