Newcastle are eyeing Genoa forward Krzysztof Piątek ahead of the January transfer window.
That is according to Chronicle Live, who claim that the Magpies are monitoring the Poland international after an impressive start to life in Italy’s Serie A.
The 23-year old only joined the club in the summer, signing from Cracovia in his native Poland for £3million. Now though, Newcastle are considering making a move, with the Tyneside club having scouted Piątek half a dozen times.

Piątek, who can operate as a winger or as a striker, is valued at around £14million by the Rossoblu.
Newcastle have also sent scouts to do extensive research in Belgiuim, Germany, Netherlands and Denmark in recent weeks, although manager Rafa Benitez has yet to learn what his budget for January will be.
It is beieved that the Spaniard is looking to sign a winger, a left-back, and additional cover and competition for right-back DeAndre Yedlin.
