Newcastle United are set to reignite their interest in Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye ahead of a potential January swoop, according to Ghana Soccernet.
The Magpies are believed to be among several Premier League clubs in their pursuit of Ghanaian international Boakye, who has been an impressive performer for Serbian outfit Red Star in recent times.
Newcastle have struggled to freely score this season in the Premier League and it seems they will look to strengthen their attacking ranks when the transfer window re-opens.

Boakye, 25, has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time now and according to the player himself, a switch to the top-flight of English football is likely in January.
I think is the dream of most of the players to play in England but I think this season my move to England is going to happen, I’m not going to give details but it will surely happen before January.
Rafa Benitez already has the likes of Salomon Rondon, Ayoze Perez, Joselu and Yoshinori Muto at his disposal but it seems another striker could be targeted in January.
Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Southampton are also touted as potential destinations for Boakye in January.
