Newcastle United midfielder Mohamed Diame has revealed that all the players in the squad are firmly backing manager Rafa Benitez, despite him being criticised for his recent tactics.
As reported in the Chronicle, Diame has insisted that all the players have no issue with the manager and how he asked them to play against Chelsea and Manchester City.

Benitez was slammed for being too defensive against Chelsea at St James’ Park but Diame believes that the players accept his way of playing will bring the right results as the season goes on.
Diame said:
The spirit is really good, but it has been this way for a few years now. We know that we need to work hard together if we want to achieve something, and it’s what we’re doing.
We just have to stay positive and remember that this is the right way to do things, to keep going and keep working and then the results will come.
The manager has spoken about this [the team’s approach] and we are all behind him. We know what the plan is, we’ve been working with him for a while now and we all know what we have to do.
This is the manager’s idea but we are all backing him and we believe in him. We will do everything to make sure that, come the end of the season, we have got the results that we want.
Newcastle are yet to win a match this season and Diame is hoping that the correct results will start to come after the international break.
