Newcastle United have been heavily linked with a move for West Brom striker Salomon Rondon this summer, according to the Chronicle Live.
Following the Baggies relegation to the Championship it was always likely that they would lost their star players with Rondon being one of these.
It is widely thought that Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is keen on a move for a target man and the West Brom star would suit this perfectly.

£16 million is widely thought of the fee which will be needed for a deal to be finished with the player not having a release clause in his contract following relegation.
He netted ten times last season, but was unable to stop his side getting relegated to the Championship last season.
Newcastle are keen to boost their squad after a 10th placed finish last term following promotion to the Premier League in the season prior to this.
