According to reports from the Northern Echo, Newcastle have made Bournemouth winger Joshua King their number one attacking target this summer.
Newcastle will be looking to strengthen their team heading into their return to the Premier League in the summer.
With their attacking options being doubted by Dwight Gayle’s fitness and the quality of others, United look to be targeting other attacking options.
So, the Magpies attention has been turned towards Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side once again this summer.
With the 25-year-old impressing this season as the striker has scored 15 goals in 35 appearances for the Cherries, scoring 11 in his last 14 appearances, but could reportedly face competition from Tottenham to get a move for the striker.
King would also be bringing some Premier League experience with him if he headed to Tyneside in the summer which Benitez will be looking to bring in on their return to the top flight.
Newcastle have also been linked with another Bournemouth player, Callum Wilson as well as Burnley’s Andre Grey to possibly add to the side.
