Who was Newcastle’s best player against Man City?

We want to know who the fans think Newcastle United’s stand-out player was in the 1-1 Premier League draw with Manchester City, and to find this out, we have set up a duel.

Man City took an early lead thanks to a highly contentious goal. Sergio Aguero was clearly offside when he headed in Aleksandar Kolarov’s free-kick, but the flag stayed down.

The Magpies equalised around the half hour mark when Vurnon Anita beat Joe Hart with a low curling shot.

Both sides had chances to grab a winner, but in the end, they had to settle for a point each.

So, which Newcastle players impressed you the most?

Our Duel feature will present you with two players and you’ll just need to select which of the two you thought had a better game. You’ll then be able to see which players other supporters thought played well by checking out the leaderboard.

We’ll go through all of the players in a ‘winner stays on’ type vote, so, the player you click with the final vote should be your own Man of the Match.

*We’ve not included Aarons and Wijnaldum as they didn’t play long enough to be considered*
