Newcastle United Predicted XI vs Leicester City (A)

Rafael Benitez takes charge of his very first Newcastle United game tonight as he and his side travel to the King Power Stadium to face the league-leaders, Leicester City.

Benitez replaced Steve McClaren as Newcastle manager on Friday afternoon and trained with his new players over the weekend.

In the reverse fixture at St. James’ Park earlier in the season, Newcastle slumped to one of their worst performances of the season as Leicester ran out comfortable 3-0 winners, with Vardy, Ulloa and Okazaki grabbing the goals.

Anticipation for tonight’s game has been huge ever since Benitez’s appointment was confirmed on Friday afternoon, with Newcastle fans excited to see the ex-Liverpool boss’s team selection for tonight’s clash with the Foxes.

Nobody (including ourselves) is really sure what to expect from Rafa regarding team selection, so our usual predicted XI will be tougher than usual – but we’re going to give it a go!

matchday.
