Newcastle United have taken Crystal Palace youngster Will Hoare on trial according to The Chronicle.
The 18 year old only signed his first professional contract this season, however Peter Beardsley has shown his interest in the Croydon born midfielder.
Hoare made his debut in tonight’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa U21’s. The right footer replaced Sean Longstaff in the 62nd minute, going on to make no real blockbuster debut.
He is known at Palace, his boyhood club, for his work rate and ethos and showed just that at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium
Despite being born in London, Hoare has represented Scotland at Under-16 level.
Newcastle United are clearly trying to bolster their youth teams in an attempt to garner more homegrown players to aid Steve McClaren in the coming seasons. Peter Beardsley has shown his ability in the development of youth players, none more so relevant than that of the progression of Adam Armstrong.
It is not known whether Newcastle would pay a fee for the Scots services.
