Newcastle United were absolutely battered by Bournemouth today, in terms of possession and shots on goal – a complete contrast to last week’s game vs Stoke.
Somehow, the Magpies emerged victorious and in doing so, acquired a vital three points. An Ayoze Perez goal was enough to seal the win, but by no means was it a comprehensive performance by the players.
These are the sort of games you need to win if you want to maintain Premier League status and in Newcastle’s case, ease the pressure on Steve McClaren’s shoulders.
