Newcastle have joined the race to sign Besiktas winger Gokhan Tore, claims talkSPORT.
The former Chelsea player has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Manchester City in recent weeks, and the Newcastle hierarchy have added him to their list of targets for the January transfer window.

Since signing for Besiktas from Hamburg two seasons ago, Tore has developed rapidly into a frighteningly tricky winger for both club and country. His current employers value him at approximately £15m and are desperate to keep hold of their most prized asset.
He has made 24 senior caps for Turkey at the age of just 23 and is rated very highly by the natives. He has been more effective at club level, where he has netted 8 times and assisted 11 goals in 37 games. He was one of the main reasons for Besiktas’ journey to the semi-final of the Europa League last year.

Newcastle are in desperate need of a few signings in January if they are to maintain their Premier League status for at least another year and Tore would be a great acquisition, given our problems in the wide areas.
It’s perhaps a bit too early to judge, but £13m man Florian Thauvin isn’t really contributing as of yet. Therefore, Tore would bring much needed goals and assistrs to our team.
