Newcastle’s Thiaw eyes Germany start: Serbia kick-off and TV details

Germany vs Serbia kicks off at 7:45pm BST on Thursday 1 October, with UK streaming available through Prime Video on a pay-per-view basis.

The Nations League fixture takes place at Munich’s Allianz Arena. Newcastle United defender Malick Thiaw and Nick Woltemade, currently on loan at Juventus, are both in Germany’s squad.

UEFA’s broadcast guide confirms Prime Video’s UK coverage for matches without England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

Search for Germany vs Serbia in Prime Video and check the event’s purchase page for the current UK price. The match is listed as pay-per-view, requiring a separate purchase.

Will Thiaw and Woltemade play against Serbia?

Both players appear in the DFB’s matchday squad update, with Thiaw allocated number two and Woltemade number 11.

Those squad numbers do not confirm starting places. Jürgen Klopp’s team selection will determine whether either player begins the match.

Thiaw’s chances have received a potential boost after Nico Schlotterbeck suffered an ankle ligament injury in training and withdrew.

Our report on Thiaw’s Germany opportunity explains the defensive opening, although Waldemar Anton and Finn Jeltsch also remain available.

Germany enter the match seeking their first victory under Klopp after drawing with the Netherlands and losing to Greece.

They then visit Greece on Sunday 4 October, again kicking off at 7:45pm BST.
