Matthias Jaissle’s Newcastle United complete another addition

Newcastle United have undergone plenty of changes over the course of the summer. Of course, on the pitch, they have seen key players like Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon depart. One could argue that these are the three best the club had.

Off the pitch, changes have been aplenty as well. It began with the somewhat sudden departure of Eddie Howe, with the long-time manager walking away in the middle of pre-season.

It is believed that Howe had taken the decision earlier but chose to stick around for a few weeks as Newcastle United found his replacement. That turned out to be Matthias Jaissle.

Jaissle had enjoyed a ton of success at RB Salzburg and Al-Ahli before this. But of course, none of those came in a top European league. So, he still had a lot to prove.

Newcastle United make another addition to Matthias Jaissle’s coaching team

Of course, whenever a manager leaves a club and a new one arrives to take his place, it comes with a lot of changes alongside him. That has very much been the case at St James’ Park as well.

A lot of Howe’s coaching staff, who had spent years at Newcastle United, have left. On the other hand, Jaissle has come with his own staff and made changes behind the scenes.

Now, another such addition has been made at Newcastle United. According to Chronicle Live, the Magpies have now swooped to hire Yann Le Meur.

Le Meur left AS Monaco earlier this year and confirmed he had joined Newcastle United officially yesterday as assistant head of performance.

How will these coaching changes affect Newcastle?

Obviously, all of these changes combine to have an overall impact. A coach’s success or failure at a club does not depend solely on him or his quality.

To be honest, Newcastle United have exceeded expectations so far this season. They have an away win over Tottenham Hotspur. Their overall record is three wins and two draws from their first five outings.

That being said, there is a lot of work that still needs to be done at Newcastle United. They have proven to be a very difficult team to beat, not losing once in their five games.

That is a step in the right direction and probably a lot better than what most supporters had expected from them. That being said, it is still a work in progress.
