‘All done’ – Fabrizio Romano drops exclusive Newcastle United will love

With not much time left before the summer transfer window comes to a close, Newcastle United have to strengthen their squad as much as possible swiftly. And it looks like they are well on their way to doing that.

It is worth mentioning that Newcastle United have had a tough time getting deals done this summer. With no European football to offer and key players leaving, it appears that they have found it difficult to convince players to move to St James’ Park.

We have already seen Victor Munoz join Liverpool, Johan Manzambi move to Aston Villa and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg choose to turn down Newcastle United when Marseille seemed eager for him to leave.

Newcastle United’s luck is turning

Things do seem to be turning around for Newcastle United late in the transfer market though. They were able to get a deal done with Man City to sign Nico Gonzalez. The Spaniard looked very good in their 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur, in what was his debut for the club.

Now, the Magpies are closing in on another high-profile addition. Someone who was on the radar of clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal but will end up wearing the Newcastle United jersey from next season.

Earlier in the day, news broke that Newcastle United had finally found an agreement to sign Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille. The saga had dragged on for months.

Fabrizio Romano has posted an exclusive picture of Fernandez-Pardo with his agent on his way to Tyneside, as he will become a new Newcastle United player on Tuesday. All done with Lille today for a fee over €60 million.

Obviously, signing Fernandez-Pardo is a very positive step for the Magpies. Now, it remains to be seen if this is the last signing that they end up making this summer or whether they still have a card or two up their sleeve.
