Man Utd transfer target wants to join Newcastle United

So far this summer, we have seen Newcastle United fail to complete deals in the final steps more than once. It had looked like everything was in place to bring Victor Munoz to the club, only for him to end up at Liverpool.

The story was repeated with Swiss World Cup standout Johan Manzambi as well. The Magpies had agreed a deal with SC Freiburg, only for it to fall apart as the player wanted to join Aston Villa instead.

So, Newcastle United will know the value of finding players who want to join the club very well. And it looks like they have found one, even though he has been linked with several other teams, including Manchester United.

Newcastle United handed midfield transfer boost

Newcastle United’s midfield department could be about to undergo a revamp this summer. Sandro Tonali has already left for Tottenham Hotspur. Club captain Bruno Guimaraes seems keen on a move to Arsenal, having already agreed personal terms. There could be more departures as well.

On the other hand, there is some positive news at the same time. As reported by Brazilian outlet UOL, Danilo and his representatives prioritise a return to England during this transfer window. He imagines that he will remain on the radar of Carlo Ancelotti and the Brazil national team if he makes the move to the Premier League.

Furthermore, according to the report, one club that the player’s staff views favourably is Newcastle United. The English team have already inquired about Danilo.

That is fantastic news if you are Newcastle United. They have been linked with Danilo quite consistently over the last few weeks and now it looks like he is open to the idea of the move.

Would Danilo be the right signing for Newcastle at this point in time?

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Danilo. He is someone who has already had a taste of the English game from his time with Nottingham Forest.

So, a move to England will not come as any surprise to him. In fact, it was unexpected when he did make the return to Brazil, joining Botafogo.

It has been a positive time for him though. Danilo has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Brazilian Serie A. So much so that he was a featured part of Ancelotti’s team at the World Cup.

Now, a return to the Premier League could be on the cards for the Brazilian midfielder. As for Newcastle United, he would add some much-needed experience to this team, even if he does not prove to be good enough to be a one-for-one replacement for players like Tonali and Guimaraes.

So far this summer, Newcastle United have added two players to their midfield department. 18-year-old Sean Steur from Ajax and 20-year-old Aladji Bamba from AS Monaco. They could do with a bit more proven quality and experience.
