According to Calciomercato, Tomori is wanted by Coventry City, Hull City, West Ham and Newcastle United. He is waiting for the right offer, both financially and in terms of his career. The English centre-back eager for a change of scenery after years of giving everything for AC Milan.
Tomori has been at AC Milan for more than five years now. And he has made over 200 appearances for the legendary Italian club over that time.
Now, at 28 years of age, it looks like he is seeking a change of scenery. A return to the Premier League would not be the worst idea at all.
Tomori actually came up through the youth ranks at Cobham and broke into the senior game at Chelsea, back when Frank Lampard was their manager. He could not hold onto his place in the team but has proven himself as a top centre-back since leaving Stamford Bridge.
Why signing Tomori would be smart for Newcastle United
There are a lot of things to like about a potential move for Tomori. Let us not forget that this is not a player at the end of his career. He is 28 and only entering his prime years on the pitch.
He has only a year left on his contract with AC Milan though. That means that he is going to be available for a bargain transfer fee this summer.
It is believed that a figure around €20 million could be enough to convince AC Milan to part ways. To be very honest, that feels like a reasonable ask.
Now, let’s see if Newcastle United do end up making a move for the English international centre-back or not. He is someone who would improve their defensive depth instantly.
