Newcastle United’s new talisman Miguel Almiron is enduring a sensational bout of form and will be “loving every second.”
That is according to insider Dean Jones who has informed GIVEMESPORT of his belief surrounding the Paraguayan star, with the club also happy to reap the rewards for their patience.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones said: “Now that he’s repaying them and flourishing, I think he’ll be loving every second of it.
“I think this is the moment that he’s waited for. The club have been patient, he’s been patient.”
Fully deserved
Having scored seven goals in his first 13 Premier League matches this season, 28-year-old seems to be in his prime, with everything clicking so far.
His form throughout this campaign has seen him better his total of five goals from the last two seasons combined – a massive and somewhat unexpected improvement from the Paraguayan.
Almiron showed signs of garnering returns during his two-season stint with MLS side Atlanta United, but failed to replicate that sort of form during his three and a half seasons in England’s top-tier.
Just as many were ready to write him off, with Jack Grealish leading that charge just a few months ago, Almiron has asserted himself as a main figurehead in Eddie Howe’s Newcastle side and currently sits as the top scorer.
Jones is correct in his admission, he will be loving every minute of this purple patch.
And so too will Newcastle, who have been patient with the forward who has been labelled as a player who is “on a Ballon d’Or charge” by the admins at ESPN on Twitter.
