Dwight Gayle was an unused substitute as Newcastle United suffered a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea, but he got over the loss by meeting up with his Magpies teammate and a personal chef.
The 32-year-old posted a picture on his Instagram story being all smiles with Newcastle-upon-Tyne chef Kiz Greenwood and Jacob Murphy. Greenwood describes himself as a private chef to VIP clients who offers home dining – Gayle and Murphy both follow him on social media.

Gayle has made just three appearances in all competitions this season, amassing a paltry 96 minutes of football. The uncapped English striker, who has been an unused substitute in 8/10 Premier League games so far, finds himself behind Callum Wilson, Joelinton and Allan Saint-Maximin in the pecking order, so he’s not had a lot of playing time.
Nevertheless, Gayle’s not let the situation get him down as he was all smiles for his Instagram picture. Newcastle have scored one or less goals in six of their last seven games, so the 32-year-old might be given an opportunity soon too.
