Federico Fernandez enjoys family time and shares picture on Instagram

The Premier League has been on pause because of the October international break, so players who aren’t representing their national team haven’t had a lot to do other than train with their clubs.

Federico Fernandez is one of them, but he’s also had some quality family time when not doing sessions at Darsley Park, sharing a nice picture with his partner and children on his Instagram story.

The 32-year-old has featured 32 times for Argentina, scoring three goals with one assist, but his last appearance came all the way back in 2014. Fernandez was a regular starter in the past when he played for Napoli, but he fell out of favour after coming to England – Swansea (August 2014 – August 2018), Newcastle (August 2018 – present).

Fernandez may not be a regular for Argentina, but he is playing consistently for Newcastle. He’s made five Premier League appearances this season and skippered the side in their last two games. The 32-year-old should get the nod against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, so time will tell if the Magpies can pick up their first league win of the campaign.
