Federico Fernandez is all smiles as he posts picture on Instagram of ‘morning walk’

Federico Fernandez regularly posts pictures on his Instagram account of training sessions at Newcastle and family time spent with his partner and children, but his latest update on IG was a picture of him smiling while embarking on a ‘morning walk’.

There’s plenty to smile about at Newcastle with the club having been taken over by Public Investment Fund (PIF), PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media. Fernandez was one of many players who posted on social media to mark the occasion and he’s still smiling days later.

The 32-year-old has made five Premier League appearances this season, amassing 438 minutes of football. He’s yet to be on the winning side in any game and will have a tough outing against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

While exciting to be under new ownership, many Newcastle players will be fearing their futures. Fernandez might be one of them as he turns 33 in a matter of months. His deal is up in 2023 but could be cut short if the Magpies upgrade at centre-back in January or the following summer. Time will tell.
