Allan Saint-Maximin has endured a difficult season at Newcastle United. The 24-year-old made 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals with five assists, but he spent a large period out with a calf and groin injury which affected his form.
The 2020/21 campaign is now over, but Saint-Maximin is doing everything in his power to ensure he’s at his best with pre-season around the corner. The former French U21 international posted a video on his Instagram story, doing running drills on a concrete hill.

Saint-Maximin joined Newcastle from OGC Nice in August 2019 and has gone on to make 56 appearances across the board, scoring seven goals with 12 assists. The 24-year-old has five years remaining on his deal at St James’ Park but has an uncertain future as he’s attracting interest from elsewhere.
Arsenal have been linked with Saint-Maximin and the player has admitted concerns about the direction Newcastle are going in, so time will tell if something transpires this summer. The Magpies might be hard pressed to turn down an offer if it comes.
