St James’ Park welcomes early Premier League leaders Everton on Sunday afternoon as Newcastle United attempt to return to winning ways in a fixture the Toon have enjoyed plenty of success in down the years.
Steve Bruce’s side are looking to record their first win in three matches whilst the Toffees will be desperate to bounce back from their first defeat of the season last weekend, suffered away at Southampton.
The hosts could potentially be without their captain and centre-back Jamaal Lascelles for the game, as Bruce confirmed in his pre-match press conferences the 26-year-old is a major doubt with a foot injury.
Carlo Ancelotti’s visiting side will be without suspended duo Lucas Digne and Richarlison for the clash, giving the Toon an additional boost.
Summer signing Callum Wilson has hit the ground running since arriving on Tyneside and will be looking to stamp his authority with another goal this weekend.
In the meantime, can you name the Magpies goalscorers from these previous Newcastle and Everton meetings…
