Several Newcastle fans have slammed Steve Bruce’s comments following the club’s 1-0 loss against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Left-back Patrick van Aanholt scored the only goal of the game in the first-half, curling a free-kick in from 25 yards out.
Newcastle only made one change from the team that lost 4-0 to Arsenal during the week prior, with Fabian Schar replacing the injured Ciaran Clark, and the club never looked to be at the races against the Eagles.
Following the game, Bruce admitted that his side needed some tinkering, as reported on Twitter by Lee Ryder as having said in reference to his tactics:
Maybe it is time for change.
Many Newcastle supporters have been left tearing their hair out in recent weeks as Bruce has not made significant changes to his team, continuously relying on Joelinton to lead the line for example, with the Brazilian having not scored since August.
Now a number of fans have piled on to Bruce following his latest comments.
