Newcastle are considering a summer move for AZ Alkmaar forward Myron Boadu, according to a 90min exclusive.
The 19-year old Dutchman has impressed in the Eredivisie this season, having scored 13 goals in 22 league appearances, while also assisting goals for his teammates on eight other occasions.
With an impressive goal ratio of a strike every 136 minutes, Boadu has attracted the interest of other another club in the Premier League too, with Arsenal said to have considered the young striker in the past.
However, 90min claim that the Magpies are prepared to fight for the one-time Netherlands international, with their scouts having been left impressed by the young forward’s potential when they watched him in action.
Newcastle currently have four senior strikers in their squad; Andy Carroll, Dwight Gayle, Joelinton and Yoshinori Muto, with the quartet having scored just one Premier League goal between them this season.

Boadu has massively impressed this season in the Netherlands, and should his league form continue in the remaining months of the campaign, Newcastle could find it even more difficult to land the forward.
Being just 19 and having amassed a respectful goal haul, Boadu is likely to attract other interest parties, as other clubs consider where they could strengthen ahead of next season.
The Magpies should have an advantage if they can offer the starlet Premier League football, assuming they avoid the drop this season, but it remains to be seen who may turn their attention towards the international.
If the club feel that Boadu is the real deal, it would make sense for the Magpies to look to do a deal early, thus preventing any other clubs coming in to swoop him from under their noses.
