Italian duo Inter and AC Milan are both ready to make moves to sign Matty Longstaff on a pre-contract agreement.
The Times claim that the two clubs could both offer him a five-year contract to leave Newcastle in the summer.
Longstaff is out of contract in June and according to The Times, will be free to discuss terms with teams from abroad as of tomorrow.
The report claims that Longstaff still earns less than £1000 a week at St James’ Park and is yet to agree a new deal with the Magpies.
After breaking into the first-team squad this season, Longstaff has become a favourite with some supporters. He also put in a Man of the Match performance against Manchester United back in October (WhoScored) – scoring in both games aginst Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Following the rumours of a potential move to Italy, these Newcastle United supporters on Twitter have been reacting to the news and they don’t seem to be too happy about it.
