Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has rejected a second attempt from Newcastle United to try and lure him to St James’ Park, as per Sky Sports.
The French forward has been linked with a switch to the Magpies, with Newcastle looking to get a forward in before the deadline.
However, it now looks like the striker won’t be Giroud, with Keith Downie of Sky Sports reporting that the forward has rejected a second approach from Newcastle for his services, meaning that he is unlikely to make the move to St James’ Park.
This follows the news that Danny Rose looks set to join Newcastle on loan with the Telegraph reporting that the Spurs left-back is set to move to the Toon until the end of the season
The Blues will reportedly let Giroud go out on loan for a fee of £3 million, but it looks like the player is set to reject a loan switch to Newcastle.
Several Newcastle fans have reacted to the news on social media, with many not that bothered that Giroud has rejected a move.
