Newcastle United supporters would be interested in seeing the Magpies move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
Former Magpies midfielder Kevin Nolan recently talked up Giroud as a player that Steve Bruce’s side should be looking at this month and it appears that plenty of fans agree with him (Sky Sports, via Chronicle Live).
Giroud is out of favour at Stamford Bridge as things stand, having started just twice in the Premier League this season (WhoScored).
Frank Lampard has been very open about Giroud’s future, stating that the Frenchman can leave the club before Friday’s deadline, providing it’s a deal that works for all parties (football.london).
Inter Milan have been linked with the player for some time but could now end their interest, according to Sky Sports. Meanwhile, Italian reporter Gianluca Di Marzio claims Tottenham have offered the striker an 18-month contract.
