Hull City have informed Newcastle and Leeds target Jarrod Bowen of their intention to extend his current contract.
TEAMtalk report that the Tigers have until March to confirm their decision with Bowen, who has a one-year extension included in his deal at Hull.
Hull are making the move to prevent Bowen from leaving for free in the summer, despite recent interest from Leeds, Newcastle and West Brom (Sky Sports).

While it’s not ideal for Newcastle’s pursuit of Bowen, it shouldn’t really come as a huge surprise either.
TEAMtalk say that Hull value the player at £17 million, so they’re taking the neccasary measures to ensure that he doesn’t leave for nothing at the end of the season.
While no club appears ready to pay that much for the player, he is continuing to show why Hull rate him so highly. He now has 17 goals and six assists in all competitions for the Tigers this season (WhoScored).
He is also proving that he can step up against some of the top Premier League teams following an impressive performance against Chelsea in the FA Cup recently.
Despite Hull losing on the day, Bowen was arguably the home side’s best player – earning a match rating of 7.0 from WhoScored. During the game, he kept the Blues busy, with six shots on goal and five attempted dribbles. With Bowen continuing to impress in the Championship, it’s unlikely that this will be the last we hear on his future.
