Tottenham are reportedly preparing an offer to sign Newcastle target Paco Alcacer from Borussia Dortmund.
According to the Northern Echo, Tottenham have been tracking the player ‘for the best part of two years’.
With Harry Kane now sidelined until at least March (The Guardian), Jose Mourinho’s side are looking into potential January additions to bolster their forward line.

The Northern Echo say that regular game time is a huge factor in his desire to leave Dortmund before the end of the window – with the player keen to ensure he wins a spot in the Spain squad for the upcoming European Championships.
Newcastle have to hope that this may work in their favour in the race to sign the striker. At Spurs, it’s highly unlikely he’ll be considered as a long-term replacement for Kane and once the England striker is fully fit, Alcacer could once again be at risk of falling out of favour.
When you consider how much Joelinton has struggled at Newcastle this season – scoring just once in the league so far – Alcacer could have the opportunity to nail down a regular starting spot at St James’ Park and improve on the five league goals he has already scored this season.
While Tottenham are the ‘bigger club’ on paper, regular game time and goals in the Premier League could be enough to convince Luis Enrique to include him in his squad.
