FC Spartak Moscow midfielder Alex Kral has responded to rumours linking him with a move to Newcastle United.
The 21-year-old defensive midfielder only joined the Russian club in September 2019.
The Magpies have been reportedly tracking the Czech international. As quoted on Russian news outlet Sport Express, he said:
I read the news, but my agent didn’t tell me anything. I have a good agent, he always tells me if something happens. If I receive an offer, he immediately calls me. This time he didn’t so there’s nothing to talk about.
If Newcastle scouts are watching me and following my performances, let them continue to do it. For me, at this level, every good football club watch lots of players so that doesn’t mean anything.

Kral is very highly-rated, proven by the fact that in 2019, the youngster was included in UEFA’s list of 50 players to watch out for.
He’s made nine top-flight appearances so far this season and we feel that if Newcastle are actually interested in him, then they need to be quick because many other big clubs may begin to register their interest in him soon.
His current contract expires in the summer of 2024 so negotiating a deal could prove to be more difficult than usual.
